School Security

We have had quite a school shootings these past few weeks here in the United States. It goes to show you that we live in a sad world these days; one where parents have to worry about some maniac coming into a school with a military-sized arsenal, and shooting innocent students and teachers. I'm pretty sure that the average student does not feel to safe going to school these days either, and they have a reason to be afraid: Our world is full of idiotic freaks.
BLAME GAME
If a school shooter lives through the incident, he usually will claim that he had some "psychiatric imbalance" or that "he was bullied" earlier in the year. This is the sort of thing that makes me the most angry, the shooters try to pin their actions on the bully who was pushing him around before the shootings. Take responsibility for what you did. I've seen students bullied before in my school, and, to my knowledge, the have never taken an RPG and started lobbing rockets at the cafeteria. My personal favorite attempt at the blame game is the one that involved Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold:
"Well, they played a whole lot of the video game: Doom. Yep, that's what it was all right."
If Doom or Grand Theft Auto made people violent, then the morgues would be full by now. Due to the fact that dozens upon dozens of people play those games.
SECURITY
Now I get to the main question of tonight's post. "Should we have armed security on school campuses these days?"
Most definitely. It may cost a great deal of money to hire and establish armed security at the schools around the country; but if something is not done soon, more and more idiots will just keep coming in and committing murder on their fellow students. Some people may be against the whole armed security scenario, but armed security is not the only option we have. Installation of metal detectors and scanners would greatly increase the safety level of the modern day school, and it would give the psychos a harder opportunity to come in with guns blazing.
So, in other words, something needs to be done.

I don't know why US government allows people to own guns like AK47 because we hate the AK47.
AK47 reminds me the red China.
I am extremely sick and tired of Communists.

About me

  • I'm Riess
  • From Anaheim, California, United States
  • Living out in Anaheim is great! If you like hot weather! Southern California is actually a great place to live, if you have enough money in your pocket of course. Apartments out here in the west are more expensive than many houses in the midwest! Although I may only be a wee sixteen years old, I watch the news and the stock market like an adult would, and I've even given out stock tips to some of my family members who invest in the great world of the NYSE. It has not been the easiest life in the world for me, but it could be a lot worse. Whenever I think the chips are down, I think of the people that live in poverty, in the United States and all over the globe. Avid watcher of the G8 summit and Presidential debates when they are on as well.
